VERDADE, CONTINGÊNCIA E FALIBILISMO: A TEORIA DISCURSIVA DA VERDADE DE J. HABERMAS À LUZ DAS CRÍTICAS DE A. WELLMER

Neste artigo, tentarei mostrar como a teoria discursiva da verdade de Habermas sofre uma influência significativa das críticas de A. Wellmer. Na passagem de uma versão forte para uma versão fraca dessa teoria, o modelo de fundamentação mediante o conceito de situação ideal de fala é substituído por um modelo falibilista, o qual opera com uma “noção problemática de verdade”.
Abstract: In this article I intend to show how the Habermasian discursive theory of truth is significantly influenced by the criticism of A. Wellmer. In the turn from a strong to a weak version of this theory, the model of grounding through recourse to the concept of “ideal speech situation” is replaced by a fallibilistic model, which works with a “problematic notion of truth”.
