Resumo

Popper, Ciência e História Antiga. O presente artigo analisa a contribuição de Karl Popper para a compreensão do lugar da ciência e seu papel sócio-político na sociedade atual. Para tanto, examina o significado de se negar a cientificidade da História nos estudos acerca da Antigüidade.

Abstract: Popper, Science and Ancient History. This article analyzes the important contribution of Karl Popper for the understanding of the social-political role that science plays and its position in modern society. Its aim is to show why scientific approach of the study of Ancient History is denied by some authors.
