Resumo

Who is who in the Last Judgment scene? In the current interpretation, Mt 25, 31-46 might teach that all people are judged by the criterion of their works of charity to any needy person. We explain here the contrary opinion of D. Gewait (1973), who discovers a sectarian self-understanding of the matthean church; of J. Lambrecht (1972 and 1976), who interprets the criterion of judgment as the benefit done to the christian missionaries; and the reinforcement of the current exegesis by U. Wilckens (1975).
