Resumo

This article bringa into focus the hermeneutics as applied to Scripture by Juan Luis Segundo, one of the representatives of the theology of liberation. The first part deals with the starting-point as proposed by the so-called "liberatist exegesis". It is to be questioned. however, whether a vital relationship of the interpreter to the matter involved or the effective history are an adequate and complete approach to interprete Scripture. Is it not true though that Scripture has it's own consistency? The second part points out the fallacy of a one-sided approach since a partial viewpoint fails to do justice to the concrete contenis of the biblical message: a one-sided premiss preconditions the approach to the Bible whose singlepassages are interpreted regardless of their context, proximate or remote.
