Abstract

The kitchen and the table are spaces of transformation, in which our relationship with God, with others, with creation as a whole, and with our inner selves is revealed and built in a privileged way. creation, and our inner selves. Having this in mind, the present work aims present a reflection on the theology of food, in a perspective “theogastronomic”, from the dialogue between the thoughts of theologians José Tolentino Mendonça and Norman Wirzba. Initially, a synthetic understanding of what a theology of food would be will be presented. Next, we will reflect on how this theological approach can nourish and mature our relationship with God and others. Finally, in light of the reflection presented, we will highlight some pastoral inspirations for the life of faith in Christian communities.
