Based on the theoretical reference of Henrique C. de Lima Vaz’s Philosophical Anthropology, this paper focuses on the relationship between corporality and imagination, as one of the ways to put forward the proposal of a form of humanism able to explicitly integrate the characteristics that generally define contemporary ecological consciousness. It would be an ecological differentiation within a humanist stance, grounded in philosophical anthropology. Gaston Bachelard’s conception of material imagination is presented as a philosophical notion that could contribute to the development of such a humanist ecological differentiation. Finally, a convergent perspective can be seen in Carl Jung, to the same end.
