Abstract

This paper points out to some aspects of the current relevance of Kant and Hegel's thought. In addition to highlighting a certain complementarity between them, it identifies and comments on their contributions to the debate on important themes of contemporary ethics and political philosophy, such as dignity, autonomy, the ethical foundations of the Constitution, reciprocal recognition and liberty.
