ABSTRACT: This article examines Lorenz B. Puntel’s systematic-structural metaphysical project, reconstructed primarily from Being and God (2011) and interpreted through Herrero (2012), Dal Forno (2017), and Aranguiz (2020). The study shows that Puntel’s system redefines metaphysics on strictly theoretical grounds, articulating language, structure, and totality to explicate the primordial dimension of Being. It reconstructs the conceptual path leading from the centrality of the universe of discourse to the distinction between objective being and primordial Being, culminating in the internal relation between Being and God. The article also analyzes approaches deemed inadequate for the question of God, demonstrating how linguistic, empiricist, subjectivist, and fragmentary perspectives fail due to the absence of an ontologically comprehensive horizon. It concludes that the Being–God relation emerges as the system’s necessary structural consequence rather than an external theological addition.
