A Theology with Practical Dimensions: Some Elements Based on the Area Documents

Abstract

Theological production takes on different methodologies depending on the context in which it is inserted. The autonomy of Capes’ Assessment Area 44 implies a markedly academic understanding of Theology, as well as emphasizes the possibility of interaction between theological production the public space. Starting from the analysis of the Documentos de Área, this article proposes to present characteristics of the practical dimension of Theology, considering it above all from the perspective of interdisciplinarity, with regard to its methodology, and its articulation with the academic environment. This scenario points to epistemological changes, since Theology, starting to dialogue with specific interlocutors, also constructs itself with another language.
